Cawthron Institute visit

Thanks to Susie Wood from Cawthron for showing Finn, Alex, Tim and Mr Riley around the algae library, laboratory, chemistry labs, wet lab and molecular biology lab. It was amazing! We saw the $250,000 remote dna analyser. We saw a electrophoresis gel and the pcr machine. We looked at algae under the microscope. Susie gave us the medium and pure culture of Phormidium and Microcystis algae to grow for experiments. Thanks to Paul Fisher from Nelson Council for coming too and for helping Finn.
